  Kinondo Kwetu

Kinondo Kwetu is a resort located at Galu Beach in the South Coast where its surroundings are considered to be holy and sacred to the Kinondo people. The grounds are beautiful and immaculately kept with a fantastic view of the ocean and the white sandy beach.  If peace and serenity is what you seek, then this is the resort for you. In addition, its proximity to Shimba Hills National Park is a mere 45 minutes away and offers an opportunity to see some of Kenya’s famed wildlife.

Unique Features:  The resort is considered to be a kaya (sacred and holy grounds) to the Kinondo people.  They hold traditional ceremonies that guests are invited to watch on the surrounding grounds, specifically in the holy forest.

Location:  Galu Beach, South Coast

Climate:  Altitude is at sea level, hot days, warm nights and moderate humidity

Languages spoken:  English, Swahili, French and Swedish

How to get there:  There are daily flights offered by Kenya Airways and fly540 daily to Mombasa International Airport. From there, Mombasa Air private charter can be hired via Ukunda airstrip. Local airstrip transfers are included as part of the Kinondo Kwetu package.   If you do prefer the more scenic route, take the ferry to Likoni a mere 45 minutes away from the resort.

Check out Policy:  Guests are required to check out by 10am.

Facilities:  Mama Taa Villa with 6 suites, 5 cottages and a main house for children, wireless internet, laundry service, wood fired sauna, Gym, 2 Swimming pools, Beach front work –out facilities, tennis courts

Activities:  Scuba diving, snorkeling, windsurfing, kite Surfing, water skiing, sailing and canoeing, deep sea fishing, horseback riding, mountain biking, golf(but not on site), excursions to “paradise lost” island, game drives to Shimba hills, shipping and sight seeing trips to Mombasa or Ukunda and cultural visits to Kinondo Village.
